Dressed in pareos personalized with the colors of your ceremony, you will be greeted by our wedding planners on the pontoon of your hotel to embark on a comfortable double outrigger canoe. You will have a short cruise to the wedding ceremonial site. The site of the ceremony is held in a romantic corner of the beautiful lagoon of this « Pearl of the Pacific ». Our wedding staff will assist you in gearing up with white bridal dive suits and underwater helmets for an introductory helmet dive just before the ceremony. After a short security briefing about your dive, you will be immersed again in the translucent waters of the lagoon. The waterproof audio player will allow you to follow the official wedding ceremony and hear every romantic bubble.
Here, our Polynesian priest will open the doors of the underwater chapel «Te Ana Ipo» located 13 ft under the sea. Adorned in an ethereal underwater setting, the underwater chapel will be ready to welcome you and your wedding vows. The ceremony presents a unique and memorable experience as testimony of your love in the lagoon of Bora Bora. Throughout your immersion, you will be accompanied by a diving instructor for your safety.
You will exchange vows underwater with coral rings and sign a wedding certificate, and after a last swim around the chapel you will return to the ship’s deck. The ceremony lasts around 25 magical underwater minutes. Back on the surface, you have the choice, either to be transferred back to your hotel (a half-day option) or directly to a white sand beach of a private motu (islet) for a romantic lunch by the water (a full day option). And to complete this beautiful wedding ceremony in full day, a photo session before your transfer back to the hotel to immortalize the magic of these moments. The wedding ceremony lasts about 30 minutes underwater.
Our underwater wedding ceremonies are not not legally recognized.
During your “Bora Bora Underwater Wedding”, you will dive with underwater helmets. Helmet diving is a low risk activity. After a complete briefing, you will literally “walk” underwater on the sandy bottom. This activity require no scuba diving training. Helmet diving only requires gentle ear equalization upon descent, the method will be described during the briefing.
You can keep you prescription glasses throughout the ceremony.
In case of bad weather, TOPDIVE reserves the right to postpone or cancel the ceremony. In such case, you shall receive a full refund.
